Phone Power is the cheapest reliable VOIP provider listed on our site. They offer a great product, full of amazing features, that I’m sure Alexander Bell could have never imagined. Phone Power is now offering a free year of service when you prepay for the first year. After taxes it comes out to be only $10.54/month for unlimited local and long-distance calling. This is by far the best offer Phone Power has ever offered. Phone Power has had a ton of good press lately from PC World, the VOIP Editors Award, and the BBC #1 choice. We have been using their service for over a year now and have made them our #1 home phone replacement choice.

Pros = 1. 2 years for only $199.95  2. Free activation 3. Excellent voice quality 4. Free equipment/adapter 5. month-to-month plan for only $9.95/month  6. No contracts 7. Money Back Guarantee 8. Free second phone line 9. U.S. based customer support that can be reached by phone

Cons = 1. $14.95 shipping fee if you don't already have a voip adapter

Residential Rate Plans Available (unlimited minutes): $11.11/month if you pay for the entire year upfront and $9.95/month if you pay month-to-month for the first 3 months and then $19.95/month after that

Final thoughts:  Paying for the year upfront will get you 1 free year and is worth it.  If you don't have that much cash now then try the $9.95/month plan.  Either way you can cancel any time and get a refund.

switched from Vonage to Phone power. Number transportation was easy, took over two weeks, but you were able to use their service as soon as you recive the telephone adapter. Setup was just as easy as Vonage, and the Phone quality is well beyond what Vonage was. NO QUALITY ISSUES WHAT SO EVER! Contacting technical support to setup my TA was short and easy, as someone answered the phone within a few minutes of calling. Within 5 minutes we were up and on our way. This service comes with More features than PhonePower. I specifically like the call blocking feature that allows you to block specific numbers, they get a bussy signal. Great feature to block out those pesky telemarketers who keep calling. I am very happy with the price and the service. I am running this service with an 8 meg comcast connection. Nothing bad to report what so ever!

Warning! Don't order this if you have a dial up connection. I get my internet from eathlink. It was painful to learn that it wouldn't work after I already ordered it. I had to return it the next week. Ahhhhhhhhh!!! Does anyone know if there is a good voip service that works with dialup??

why aren't these companies advertising more? I only ever hear about vonage. I had vonage for 3 months and then found this company from some website. maybe this one? can't remember. the quality is better then vonage, cheaper, and has more features. come on phonepower!!! start running commercials to keep more suckers like me from signing up for vonage instead of you!

I run a tax prep business from my home during tax season and wanted a seperate line for my office. After reading reviews I decided to give Phone Power a try. That was over 2 years ago. I have since replaced my home line with Phone Power. I now have 2 seperate phone lines at my house and pay less then what I was paying before for just my home phone. I also never have to worry about how long my wife is on the phone with her sister who lives in Washington.

I thought this might be too good to be true when I signed up. It's not. The phone works just like any other phone and luv all the features. If I could give it a higher rating I would.

We moved here 3 years before to the states and make frequent calls back to India. The rates are much better then what other companys offer. We are happy with service and would rate them very highest. I do wish for a unlimited India calling plan. Anyone know good unlimited INdia plan available?
